Weekend vibes

Pre-weekend chat and what I want to get done:

At this very moment the girls and myself have created a little group for most of the month of April and into May as a health kick. We plan to stop having huge nights out, stop the crap food and really feed our body full of goodness. We plan to spend our money on yummy nutritious food and not on hangover feeling vodka and soda. So instead of saying my weekends going to full of raging parties it is actually going to be full of calm, relaxing vibes to get me feeling amazing for week 2 of our little challenge.

I am hoping to get into F45 Newton on Saturday morning at 9am for the intense Hollywood session. Everyone loves a good workout on a Saturday morning, and I agree with the rest it really does set your weekend up nicely. F45 I find is awesome, the team at Newtown had a plan to create a ‘family’ feel throughout their gym and they have. As well as training and seeing results we also all have an amazing time training, having yummy brunches and the celebrations after challenges. If you’re a person that needs a bit of a kick to get moving, I truly recommend these guys https://f45training.com/ and they are everywhere!! After training I guess I will have to grab brunch… but as I said in the blog before I LOVE BREAKFAST!!

This weekend is about throwing out the old clothes (donating) to make room for the new clothes! Winter is arriving and I am the worst for winter fashion, I end up just piling on all my summer clothes… I think it’s me not wanting to believe that winter is here and it is actually cold. Another reason for this winter shopping spree is that I am off to Ohope & Whakatane in New Zealand on the 2nd week of may and I will definitely need some extra warm clothing. Anywho, my plan is to literally get rid of probably half my clothing (because really, I haven’t warn half my stuff in years) and really update my wardrobe… I deserve it.

On that topic of New Zealand and Whakatane and Ohope. Wow i could not say anything bad about these places (only that is gets so so cold and its a small little village so there is a lack of things to do in winter. LUCKYYYY i love to walk in the fresh air through the forests. There is a walk over the hill from Ohope to Whakatane that is a must when you visit... sometimes you meet people looking for Kiwis. hahaha one time we were walking through the bush and i pretended to make Kiwi noises (there was a guy searching with a full on machine and everything) and there's me making Kiwi noises.. and yes i have no idea what they even sounded like, but it was hilarious at the time. In Whakatane you can sit and watch the boats come into the harbor.. it can get quite interesting when the seas a bit choppy, its nice to just sit and relax. You can go fishing by the wharf over the other side near Ohope. Ohope also has the best surf break (that i feel safe in) that i have seen. I still remember one morning before i left one summer the water was literally glistening and the waves were rolling in but everything was just perfect. Unfortunately this time the only ocean swimming ill be doing is a quick run in and out to wake me up every morning.. it will be extremely fresh. I will be taking myself to the hot springs a few time i feel. Anyway.. before i spoil the place and tell you all my secrets, If you haven't visited New Zealand or the east coast of NZ i highly recommend you get yourself down to Whakatane and Ohope (preferably in summer).. i promise you won't regret it.

&& lastly spring (autumn) clean the house. (you’re probably thinking borrringggggg) but I actually enjoy the feeling after I clean the house and the freshness. I live with two guys at the moment, who are great! But with three of us in and out of the house all the time and being so active, things get left everywhere ‘in piles’ one might say... they do say ‘this is yours, this is yours oh and this is yours to’ (I think I have ended up leaving stuff everywhere in spite for hilarious reactions… I can be quite sarcastic). Living with these two keep things entertaining. One of them has a huge obsession with Guzman and Gomez and one has a chocolate addiction. So we all have our ‘fat days’ together! If one chooses to have it on another day… with our addictive personalities we may end up having more than one fat day that week … which is NOT GOOD!!. (but let’s be honest, its hibernation season and I need to stay warm in winter haha).

On the subject of winter and the cold, I am not a fan of the cold but I do loveee to snuggle up in all my fury big blankets and relax to some good movies… not going to lie I do love a good cuddly blanket in summer to, I’m not sure what it is (maybe from my childhood) but I just love the feeling of cuddles and snuggles, they immediately make me feel settled and relaxed.

Weekend Begins

So it is now Saturday, I did my 9am F45 Hollywood class with F45 Newtown and it was super sweaty!! I mistakenly put moisturizer on beforehand so my legs were dripping with moisturizer sweat the whole session (it did make it easier to do kettle bell dead lifts though… very slippery up the shins). I have been recently trying to get myself back into the weekend routine, unfortunately i signed myself to Saturday mornings at work so i am not sure how many of these Saturdays i can attend for the next few weeks.. as long as i keep my weekday exercise going its all sweet. I try to do at LEAST 4 a week at the F45 (sometimes its 3, but i never know what work will occur). I then came home, lay outdoors for a bit to catch my breath and let me face redness go down (and that I can say can take A LOT of time) got my wallet and went walking up to the local shops to grab myself a long black coffee (Shenkin, Erskineville), some groceries (eggs, sourdough, spinach and tomato) and then also stopped off at the local flower shop to grab my sister some flowers… just to brighten her day.

So introducing my sister, she is two years younger than me, an artist (very talented I think) and she scoops a good ice cream. We are two completely people, she’s blonde I am brunette, she’s a bit paler than me (I tell her that quite a bit in summer.. ahha), I have an olive complexion, she’s got the tall, skinny gene and I have the shorter (1.69m) height, curvy gene. We were in Barcelona a few years ago and people kept asking who mum was, they had no idea we were related.. you can imagine us playing with the idea after that!. She is great.

Anyway since cooking up my feast of a breakfast i have ACTUALLY gone through my clothes and thrown out quite a lot.. i honestly wear like 30% of my wardrobe.. my clothes have been airing all day in the sun (they usually are in storage under my bed. My room at the house i live in had no storage... it's literally a room, therefore at first i bought a wardrobe which was definitely not enough for all my clothes, so i've now purchased two under bed storage container things from IKEA (mmm IKEA, the place with everything... the place you say your just going for one item but come out with 5 other items and possibly a new outdoor setting. FINALLY i headed to my sisters with her flowers, she also needed an onion for something yummy she was cooking, so i went back to the local grocer, got her onion and picked myself up a Kombucha (raspberry lemonade flavor).. I got the Kombucha for my rumbling stomach... (the toast i literally has for brekky and lunch and maybe a snack had got to me.. but remember! i can't help myself).

I had planned to have dinner with a friend around 6 (im terrible with time). i left my sisters around 6:30, picked her up and we grabbed some Japanese in Newtown! DELISHHHHH. However.. again me and my body i had a yummy cheesecake and icecream for desert, i literally haven't had milk in a good 3-4 months!! you can only imagine me half an hour later, in bed, dyingggggg!!! stomach growling, my throat getting those bad food feelings and me half laughing and half actually dying (and there were no quickeze tablets at Wooloworths. In the end it was me, my laptop (gossip girl) and a bottle of water.. riding out this over indulgent feeling i had put myself in. hahaha oh well. That was my Saturday (hope i feel better in the morning).

Sunday... & i have woken up feeling like actual arse. I feel like i have sculled a bottle of milk. I dont know if im hungry or if this is a sick feeling AHHH.. help me. its 8:50am and i think i may go for a walk (the days beautiful)... but lets be honest im walking to get my coffee... trying to take my mind off everyone over in Vegas getting themselves prepped for Coachella and the guys in Tulum having a beautiful getaway (the girls and me were in Tulum a year ago also prepping ourselves for Coachella 2016, i will have to fill you in with that trip one rainy week... that was a blastt!!). Anyway lets see what happens when i get up and move around! hopefully my belly is nice to me.

Later that day............ WOW!! i just got back from such a beautifulllllllll day!! Before i tell you about my MAGICAL Sunday, i am finishing this blog off in the bath, with bubbles and a storm rolling in and home alone, so yes doors open and naked for the world woohoo freedom!! Anyway back to it, Sydney turning up the heat and giving that nice ocean breeze wow.. so so special. Anywho, so i got picked up and headed east (to Bondi, which i won't do again on a weekend, the traffic and drivers around Bondi beach are terrrible!! it was like car tetris and people just creating their own pathways and causing others havoc, patience everyone wow) . We wanted to try Speedo cafe, obviously didn't end up but we went to Bondi wholefoods instead and wow it was yummmmy! 2 avocados on toast and some feta (for some reason i was craving... and yes i know its milky so it goes against everything i was complaining about thismorning). Long blacks with extra shots.. we were both struggling thismorning (allergies we blame). We sat there for an hour at least and then headed to the markets and then headed to a little hidden gem Clovelly. I love Clovelly and today it was honestly picture perfect. crystal water and glistening warm water wow.. love love loveeeee! After a good couple of hours we left and went to CaliPress for some juices and headed back and thats how i ended up in the bath. I am feeeling 100% better than thismorning and feeling fresh for the week.. I do however feel like mexican (i may wonder up to newtown and get a taco bowl later.. maybe (if i can be bothered).

I do hope you all got to get outside today, even if you were working for a little sunshine. Everyone should definitely try to get some saltiness about them before the water turns to ice and the weather actually goes wintery. I feel satisfied and happy with my healthy weekend. I am not going to lie i do love a drink, but at this moment i am going well with my exercise and want to stay on this path aslong as i can (i am easily convinced so this is actually a challenge for me).

Anyway ! hope everyones weekends were as good and relaxing as mine, see you throughout the week! Set some goals.. even if its drinking 3 litres of water a day! I am literally dripping in this bath, its kinda like being in a sauna (i will have to shower after, but i will wait till my body gets wrinkly like a granny before i even think about leaving). Keen for a summer storm (i am one to look at BOM sydney radar and get excited when i see the colours of the storms are severe, i always thought i should of been a weather woman.
